There is a ministry team called S.O.L.E. (Serving Our Lord Everyday). They have met to establish a purpose and vision for this ministry at LCOL. At this time, the purpose is to provide information about present ministries being done by members of Little Church on the Lane. Members may find they want to join others who are active in a ministry. This team will also encourage, equip and empower members to serve our Lord by serving others in the community.

S.O.L.E. Sunday for 2012 will take place THIS SUNDAY on May 20. This is a time when the church family serves others. The morning will be in service as each person can pick a place to give of themselves in some way. We will gather at 9:00 a.m. at the church to go out to our task

On May 20, our normal worship service at 11:00 a.m. will not take place within our sanctuary. Instead our worship for that day will be in serving others outside of the walls of Little Church on the Lane. Also, there will be no Sunday School that day.

We will be sharing our stories (like the disciples did when Jesus sent them out!) at our worship service on Sunday, May 27. You don’t want to miss this service and the stories people have to share.

9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.

5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

6 This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
2 proclaiming your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night,
3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
and the melody of the harp.

<sup>4 </sup>For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord;
I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
5 How great are your works, Lord,
how profound your thoughts!
6 Senseless people do not know,
fools do not understand,
7 that though the wicked spring up like grass
and all evildoers flourish,
they will be destroyed forever.

8 But you, Lord, are forever exalted.

9 For surely your enemies, Lord,
surely your enemies will perish;
all evildoers will be scattered.
<sup>10 </sup>You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox;
fine oils have been poured on me.
<sup>11 </sup>My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries;
my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.

12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
13 planted in the house of the Lord,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
<sup>15 </sup>proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.

— Psalm 92
