Dear friends,

What will be “new” about this New Year for you? I know that this year brings a lot of change for me, and that makes me pretty nervous! Thankfully, we know that God is in charge and will give us the wisdom we need when we seek Him for direction. James 1:5 says, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking” (NLT). We do not always know what God wants us to do, but we do know that He wants us to come to Him and ask. We may not even know what to ask for, but the point is- we need to go to Him before we make our plans, not after! God, in His time, will give us the wisdom we need to follow Him in the little decisions and big decisions of life.

As I prepare to make the biggest change of my life- leaving my role as Youth Director at the end of this month- I want you to know how very grateful I am for the relationships I have  with each of you. You all challenge me and inspire me! I will be focusing on completing my MA in Counseling at Gordon-Conwell this year, and I covet your prayers in this process. Though my position is changing, you are still my church family! I look forward to seeing how God will grow us ALL this year.

Thank you all for your continuous love and support.

In Him,

Joanne Jemsek
