Abide in the Wealth of Jesus These times make people feel poor. As prices go up and incomes go lower, pockets feel empty. Certainly, good news for individual finances is hard to find. The first cut of expenses happened almost a year ago. Most are being vigilant in what they buy and how they pay. Jobs, mentioned often with complaint, are now treasures. People are so thankful to have their jobs, even their vilified jobs. Attitudes are different. The wealth of Jesus has not changed. It has not diminished. It does not change with the times. The wealth of salvation remains deposited. The resource never falls below a reserve amount. The account never empties. The good news remains the same, it is not hard to find. All believers are account owners of this vast wealth. Everyone can draw strength and assurance from this provision. Stewardship need not be cut from expenses. In fact, it is truly not an expense. It is active participation by account owners in safekeeping of their wealth. These times allow for reflection of what true wealth looks like. The news of the day does not reflect God's greatness and provision. The news of the Gospel does tell the story of wealth beyond compare. Choose to be a steward of the wealth of Jesus, not the poverty of mankind. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all thees things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 (Authorized Version)
