Adult Christian Education Classes and Life Groups
The Little Church on the Lane has a history of small groups helping people to grow together as a church family while learning more about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In each group, we urge people to fellowship together, pray for one another, learn from good teaching, and serve one another in and out of group. Thus each group becomes a way to experience life with other believers. Paul says to “be transformed by the renewing of your minds.” Our life groups on Sunday morning and during the week are help from God provided for our renewing.
You are invited to participate! Those on Sunday morning begin at 9:45 a.m. following breakfast at 9:00 a.m. There are a variety of groups available, covering multiple topics. If there are some who desire a particular subject other than what is being offered, please let the staff know and it can be started. Please review the descriptions of each class and choose a group in which to participate. Feel free to visit various classes to help you decide, or to change classes in order to participate in a topic that interests you.

Adult Sunday School Classes (9:45 a.m.)
The Alma Owen Class, led by Phil Lambeth, meets in the second room on the left down the hallway from the Gathering Area. It is a class where comments and discussion are encouraged! The material used is David C. Cook curriculum.
The Jeff Fulp/Susan Ledford Class, led by Jeff Fulp and Susan Ledford, meets in the parlor of the church office. The book this class is using is “With Christ in the School of Prayer”, by Andrew Murray. The power of intercessory prayer is a great gift from God. God listens to those He loves and works all things for their good. This book describes the role of the Holy Spirit within the church and exhorts Christians to use the blessings God has given us. It is a guide to living a life as a temple of the Holy Spirit. |
The Conversation Class, led by Richard Bohart, meets in the chapel. This class has been together for many years and has a foundation for care of its members, old and new. The material used is the David C. Cook curriculum.
Young Adult Class, led by Steve Wilson, is populated by young adults. This is a class spending time with our prayer concerns, fellowship and growing as Christians in a fast-paced world. A study of the book "The Lazarus Life" by Stephen W. Smith will begin in the Fall. The class meets in the large class over the chapel. Guests are welcomed to be part of this caring group. |
